Abstract [en]

The article presents a new approach in the study of the ecology of religion. Single ecological factors that appear as subject matter in religious sources are analyzed as factors in the religious world. The symbolic value is applied to environmental factors through ritualization. To investigate the reproduction and use of an ecological factor in religious ritual a model has been developed called "The Dynamic Ecology of Religion". The models theoretical and hermeneutical basis are outlined, some methodological considerations are made, and the explanatory value of the model discussed.
