Nine genera of Hyacinthaceae, Albuca, Bowiea, Dipcadi, Drimia, Drimiopsis, Ledebouria, Ornithogalum, Schizobasis and Scilla, with a total of 34 species, are recognized in Ethiopia, Somalia, Djibouti, Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. One new species, Ledebouria
