2018 (English)Book (Other (popular science, discussion, etc.))
Abstract [en]

Hedvig Brorsson-Jakobiak is a researcher from Sweden and France. Within the project treated within this tract, she raises the question of access to education for students with disabilities in France.

In her bilingual edition, Prise d'Acte – Taking note and action, Hedvig Brorsson-Jakobiak denounces with her testimony how the integration of students with disabilities into “ordinary” compulsory schools is organised trough the personal accompaniment assured by special needs assistants (AVS). Her testimony reveals how those assisted insertion contracts lead to the affluence of precarity within the education network, which they have to live and deal with. She shares not only her reality with the students with disabilities whom she assisted on the field as an AVS, but also her discovery of the magnitude of this network, developed to organize the establishment of relations between AVS and students with disabilities.
