Purpose/Aim: The study aims to analyse how two crises-news are presented in two newspapers, morningpress and evningpress. Furthermore, proceeding from Faircloughs triple dimensional model, the study aims to analyse whether these articles, through their text construction, can develop effects in the society.

Material/Method: The reference material used in this paper is mainly gathered from books concerning Norman Faircloughs and Håkan Hvitfelts theories. Additionally, I have also used books concerning morningpress and evningpress. Critical discourse-analyse and the assembled material are the methods used to analyse the eight news articles selected for this thesis. The objectives that have been analysed are, with ground in Faircloughs theory, text, discourse practise and sociocultural practise. Moreover, has Håkan Hvitfelts ten principles of how to slant new articles been used throughout the analyse.

Main results: One main outcome that has been generated from this thesis it is that the evening press has the tendency to terrify their readers. This on the contrary to the morning press which present a more objective view to the news. Common for the both papers is that they follow the typical presentation for news in a paper. The result of this can provide a negative effect on the reader who worries and get exaggerated view of the situation.
