Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

The purpose of the thesis is to find the most suitable way for a clinic, specialized in endoscopy, to enter the Swedish health care market. The thesis intends to elucidate how the clinic in the best way possible, could take advantage of the reforms that takes place on the market. To achieve this, a qualitative method has been used based on 19 interviews which are combined in an analytical model. A fictitious clinic has been used to apply the model. The result of the thesis shows that there is two possible ways for a clinic to enter the market. The choice is between: working for the county council either through medical care agreement or a collaterality agreement, or to establish as a totally private clinic, which is without an agreement with the county council. From a combination of theory, collected facts and interviews the choice of the private way was made. Based on, among other reasons, the fact that Uppsala county council does not have an interest in signing an agreement with a private clinic specialized in endoscopy at the current date. Potential clients and potentialities for the clinic are suggested in the conclusion.
