Abstract [en]

Mergers between companies can bring problems concerning trust and knowledge transfer. The aim of this study is to find out if lack of trust needs to limit the willingness to transfer tacit knowledge between two merged companies. The theoretical framework is a model of trust and willingness to transfer tacit knowledge. This model is influenced by what Mayer et al (1995) write about organizational trust and is based on the relation between a trustor and a trustee. Three members of the directorate in a previously merged company has been interviewed. One conclusion drawn from the study is that lack of trust does not need to limit the willingness to transfer tacit knowledge.
