Abstract [en]

The country's pipeline network is exposed to an avalanche-like increase in excavation damage. One reason is that market players have increased, and a high pace is being maintained as the government pursues a policy that the country should be provided with broadband with an investment of 4.1 billion, which is many miles of excavation work. There are shortcomings in the process of excavation where the contractor does not find out via the service ledningskollen, what is in the ground where the excavation work is to be performed before excavation, either due to ignorance or stress. This causes a cost of 400 million a year in repairs as well as costs for customers who risk delivery problems. It is a work environment hazard for those who work near a cable that is being damaged. There are also deficiencies in documentation because the plant owner has not documented the cables in a correct manner or because the plant owner is not involved in the service ledningskollen at all. Documentation of cables, cable protection pipes, ground wires, and cable wells placed in the ground whit in the organization is made by measuring the coordinates and import them into the system Trimble Nis, a network model that also contains a geographical information system function. As the organization rebuilds to renew the plant, many projects are handled simultaneously with several actors and have a high pace. One problem in the organization is that changes made during a project do not come into a sufficient degree for updating the ground map. The data that comes in is usually not complete. The purpose of this study is to investigate the use of the ground map and to identify existing working methods for bury cables, pipes, earth lines, cable wells and what problem that comes with it, and provide suggestions for improvements with a focus on how quality can be improved. The study only deals with burying of cables, pipes for cables, earth lines, and cable wells, not other types of buried objects such as pipes for media other than electricity. The accuracy of the map is important to prevent damage or accidents when test drilling for preliminary investigation or in connection with excavation. The fact that the ground map is important means that it is important to focus on the problems associated with updates being made when adding / changing. This is to improve so that the ground map will be as realistic as possible and that the stakeholders' wishes about which data to register will be documented. Problems- and causal analyzes that have to do with documentation of changes are selected for monitoring and control. There are variations in how the entire project is procured and operated and how the ground map is used. The work process must undergo a robust design to always create the same result so that the ground map provides the information that stakeholders need, to be able to use the ground map in an adequate manner. Data / properties that are not requested will only require time to produce (increased cost) and space for the information in the system, which may risk the ground map becoming messy and difficult to read instead of easy to read and informative which was a wish. The current situation is that communication and coordination are deficient, and it is slow to get the right data and information that is requested and several time the project managers must ask again to get the right information. It is time consuming and irritating. This makes the quality of the documentation suffer. The fact that the work process is also not documented makes it difficult to improve. There lacks some documents of instructions / routines and requirements and some must be updated. Written routines and instructions and checklists that are produced cross-functionally would increase the possibilities for quality-assured documentation. Tacit knowledge needs to be written down to explicit knowledge that would make it easier to carry out the projects.
