In this thesis an area with a size of 130 km2 NW of Esbjerg was investigated through literature study, laboratory work, remote sensing and fieldwork. The result is presented in a geomorphological map with the addition of archaeological settlements dating from the Bronze Age and forward. The main elements included in the map are of aeolian-, fluvial-, marine/lacustrine- and glacial origin dating back to the last two glaciations Saale and Weichsel, and forward with sediments sizes ranging from between clay to cobble. The legend used proved to be very descriptive and the information in the map supports and adds to previous studies of the area. The locations of the archaeological settlements in relation to the geomorphological history of the region are discussed, but no real conclusions on the possible relation of the location of archaeological settlements to sea-level variations could be drawn.
