Abstract [en]

This essay discusses the usage of the Stockholm royal palace in the beginning of the 18th century when Jean Baptiste Bernadotte became the adopted Swedish crown prince Charles John and subsequently king Charles XIV John of Sweden. Particular attention is payed to issues of change and continuity in social and spatial practice during his tenancy.
