Important advancements have been made in all areas of research during our work at Labraunda in 2004-2007: Five fortifications towers have been discovered and measured and an excavation in Burgaz Kale has produced dating material. The large Akropolis Fortress has been completely drawn, the East Church and its water channel has been excavated, drawn and studied. At this point, 61 tombs have been recorded and are in the process of being completely excavated. Finally, Andron A has been completely measured by a laser scanner and an in-depth study of its structural statics has been presented which will result in measures for architectural preservation. The accessibility of the site to tourists has been significantly improved: a new parking area has been cleaned, and 13 information signs have been put up in English and Turkish at all important buildings on the site. A new inscription mentioning Olympichos was revealed in 2002 (Labraunda no. 134). Finally, in 2007, a marble ambo and a new church, the West Church with attached baptistery, were discovered.
