Abstract [sv]

olika hotell i Sverige.

Abstract [en]

Yield management is a strategy aimed to optimize yield. The purpose with this paper is to describe

how the people in charge of Yield Management are working with allocating the right resources to the

right customer to the right price at the right time to maximize yield. The casestudy has been a

Swedish hotelchain. A model for analysis has been created from the four key aspects of resource,

customer, time, price and time, to examine how these aspects together make up Yield Management.

Interviews have been held with Vice President Yield Management, an Area Yield Manager/District

Area Yield Management and three Yield Managers at various hotels in Sweden.

The conclusions which have been made is that the hotelchain is working actively with Yield

Management and that the four key aspects are something which all the respondents keep in mind

when designing Yield Management strategies for the hotelchain.

In the future it would be interesting to do an international examinization of how this hotelchains

strategy for Yield Managment compares to other hotelchains.
