An ending in war. The Koan late third century B.C. Herakles silver

Abstract [en]

The article discusses two Koan silver issues minted in the middle to later part of the third century B.C. The end date of the issues is revised to c.200, and and the late and by far the largest output is connected to contemporary political events, the attack of the Kretan 'pirates' and Philip V of Macedonia on Kos, in a discussion.
