2009 (English)In: Svartkärret 1-3: Tre mellanmesolitiska lägerplatser i Närke / [ed] Darmark Kim; Guinar, Michel; Sundström, Lars; Vogel, Pierre, Uppsala: Societas Archaeologica Upsaliensis , 2009, 150-164 p.Chapter in book (Other academic)
Abstract [en]

In the paper is discussed the possible relationship between complex lithic technologies, material culture and social institutions. Based on the investigation of a newly excavated late mesolithic site and an experimental replication, it is suggested that lithic technologies can be discussed in terms of social institutions and that future discussions of these mundane practices should try to contextualize them and relate them to cultural processes in prehistoric societies.
