Abstract [en]

The aim of this study is the history of Swedish lutheran preaching during the 19th and 20th century. It is arguing that there is two parallel main streams, different, but at times in contact with each other: one  on proportionately varying frames,  but with origins in the old Lutheran tradition with the aim to instruct the listener in a life in justification by grace in Christ,  and  the other giving the listener aid to helping oneself to find his or hers own meaning of life; the paradigm of the later tradition will change in relation to different theologial systems of immediate  contemporary intrest.
