This contribution summarizes the inter-relationship between law and religion in Sweden, from a legal and societal point of view, starting from the Reformation in the 1500s until present day. Special emphasis is given to the Church-State relationship in Sweden, and to what characterizes the secular and secularism from a legal point of view.
