Från söder till norr. Tyskt och svenskt i kyrkan 829 - 2000

Abstract [en]

This overview of relations and influences from German church life to Swedish church life from the first missionary Ansgar in 829 up until the present. A document has been signed in 2003 by Church of Sweden and Evangelische Kirche in Deutschland. All through history, not just the Reformation has Swedish theology and hymnology been greatly affected from Germany. A special emphasis is laid on Church of Sweden's actions during the difficult Nazi era and contacts to the German resistance groups. After the war Swedish relief was big in war torn Germany. From the 1950's the Anglo-American ties became much stronger, but from 1990 with the collapse of DDR and Sweden joining the EU, a new pattern for relations has emerged.
