Uppsala University, Humanistisk-samhällsvetenskapliga vetenskapsområdet, Faculty of Theology, Department of Theology.
2006 (English)In: Ökumene und Widerstand, 2006Chapter in book (Refereed)
Abstract [en]

1942-1944 four of the German resistance group Kreisau had contacts with the Nordic Ecumenical Council in Sigtuna. They also had contacts to Norwegian resistance. Harry Johansson was the spider in the web. He kept much of the archival materials. In the home of Adam von Trott zu Solz a commemoration of this man of resistance was held 60 years after the July 20 coup against Hitler. Adam von Trott spent several days in Sigtuna and Stockholm the midsummer of 1944. Representatives of Church of Sweden were actively supporting the resistance groups in Germany and Norway.
