Abstract [en]

This project report describes how a website for Ångströms Materials Academy was created, from idea to finished product. In a sense the report can be seen as a general introduction to creating and developing a website using a content management system (CMS). The report describes both the used technical parts and the work processes. The website was created using Wordpress, which is a CMS with easy back-end usability and great functionality. As the work progressed, the project group felt that the embedded functions in Wordpress were not enough adapted to fit the needs of the client and therefore it was decided that these functions and themes should be customized. This task was not as easy as the project group first thought, since no one in the group were initially proficient with Wordpress nor the other systems used to create and customize the website, hence a large part of the project was to learn these systems. The other large part was making the website usable and easy to manage and develop for the client.   The   resulting   website   was   both   fully   functional   and   satisfying   to   the   client.
