Abstract [en]

It is suggested that the various paradigms of the Earlier Egyptian active sDm=f might have displayed various degrees of mophological syncretism of the underlying forms. Various environments in which this might have occurred are surveyed and the repercussions of the phenomenon of syncretism to the diachronic history of the Egyptian suffix-conjugation are discussed.
