Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

Alot of money is invested in information systems today. The goal with these investments is usually to make business critical process mer efficient to save money. But the management of internal documents, which can be viewed as the organisations memory with instructions regarding how to do certain tasks or how employees should handle difficult situations is something that hasent recieved enough attention in relation to its value. This studie has examined document management in a municipal organisation to see how it works and how it can be improved. During the studie we have seen that there is room for improvement of document management which can save time and thereby money for organisations today.
