Abstract [en]

In the present paper the psychological basis of learning by the use of modern technologies is discussed, and some suggestions are offered on how to incorporate this in the process of distance education. Achievement of learning goals in distance education always presupposes the use of suitable technological means and tools. Information and communication technology offers much better solutions compared to older technologies. However, the adaptation of the technological means and tools to the underlying psychological structures and processes of learning is necessary in order to reach the goals of distance education.
