Abstract [en]

The design of AIs in different games to compete with human challengers has for a long time been a fascination of computer scientists. This project focuses on creating a simple AI for the widely popular game heads-up no-limit Texas hold 'em and discusses the challenges that this involves. While limit heads-up Texas hold 'em has been solved there is no computer program that can compete with top human players in the general case. The goal here, however, is not to beat top players but rather be able to compete with average players with limited resources.
