2015 (English)In: Lotus and Laurel: Studies on Egyptian Language and Religion in Honour of Paul John Frandsen / [ed] Rune Nyord and Kim Ryholt, Copenhagen: Museum Tuscelanum Press, 2015, 403-418 p.Chapter in book (Refereed)
Abstract [en]

P Leiden I 371, a Ramesside Letter to the Dead, is often presented as an expression of a husband's grief and longing for a departed wife. Closer examination reveals other possible interpretations, with the husband's role in focus and the wife barely mentioned beyond accusations of guilt. The question of the whether the text is a 'real' letter is once more addressed.
