Independent thesis Advanced level (degree of Master (One Year)), 20 HE creditsStudent thesis
This paper discusses and analyses the post-IPO long-term performance of firmsin a cross-country analysis of the United States and China. Using data on 84 USIPOs and 53 Chinese IPOs, I find that the firms that go public in the USoutperform the firms that go public in China. Large impact on the long-termpost-IPO performance is the industry in which the firm operates, with nontechnologyfirms significantly outperforming tech-firms.
