This thesis uses a difference-in-differences approach to evaluate earnings ofstudents graduating immediately after the 2007 recession, and whether the effects of graduating in a recession are heterogeneous with regards to school quality. The data used is a panel of school characteristics including post-graduation earnings for all American institutions awarding bachelor's degrees from 1996 to 2013. The study finds no significant such heterogeneous effects.
