Images of Motherhood: The Hindu Code Bill Discourse

Abstract [en]

Multiple identities of motherhood constituted the core of the discourse surrounding the controversial Hindu Code Bill during 1941-56. The formative phase of family law reforms also played an important role in the social construction of the identity of motherhood. - See more at: http://www.epw.in/journal/2007/43/special-articles/images-motherhood-hindu-code-bill-discourse.html#sthash.zh0mVksK.dpuf
