Phosphoratome in π-konjugierten Systemen beeinflussen deren elektronische Eigenschaften. Die entstehenden ungesättigten und niedervalenten Organophosphorverbindungen eignen sich beispielsweise für Schalter, elektrochrome Materialien und Photovoltaik.
