2005 (English)Book (Other scientific)
Abstract [en]

The Russian Orthodox Church is one of the centres of cultural production, which includes the armed forces, the education system and the mass media. These institutions help individuals form their indentity and find their place in society by instilling deep rooted norms and values into them. Primarily focusing on the role of the Church during the Putin era, this work examines the how politicised religion is practiced.
