La traduction en suédois du gérondif français2012In: Synergies Pays Scandinaves, ISSN 1901-3809, E-ISSN 2261-2807, no 7, p. 91-103Article in journal (Refereed)
    Abstract [en]

Mots-clés : le gérondif français, interprétation sémantique, traduction, transposition

Summary: The aim of the present article is to study how the French gerund clause is translated into Swedish. We have identified the Swedish syntactic structures corresponding to the French gerund clause among which the six most frequent ones are studied and illustrated in this article. In order to make a comparison between the French gerund clause and the Swedish correspondent syntactic structures, we propose a semantic classification of the different uses of the French gerund clause. This comparative study reveals a relationship between the semantic of the gerund clause in the language source and the Swedish syntactic structures in the translations. The empirical data, composed of 1680 occurrences of French gerund clauses and their translations, are studied on the basis of 13 French novels and their Swedish translations.

Les valeurs argumentatives des séquences-exemples introduites par le marqueur par exemple2015In: Synergies Pays Scandinaves, ISSN 1901-3809, E-ISSN 2261-2807, Vol. 10, p. 39-54Article in journal (Refereed)
    Abstract [en]

This study focuses on the relation of exemplification, which can be defined as a semantic and pragmatic relation aiming to link and bridge together two independent units X and Y. The Examples introduced by the marker par exemple will be in the center of our interest in this paper: we will identify and describe the various argumentative values that the relation of exemplification generates. Since dealing with these argumentative properties requires that we identify the marker’s and the Example’s most important syntactic and semantic characteristics, we will try, at a first time, to describe their various uses and their contextual settings, providing an overview of the main constructions in which par exemple appears. Then, we look at the ways in which the Example, as an argument, is put forward and which argumentative characteristic(s) the sequence acquires in every specific position.

Réflexions sur le t'chat comme moyen d'acquisition du FLE.2006In: Synergies Pays Scandinaves, ISSN 1901-3809, E-ISSN 2261-2807, no 1, p. 81-91Article in journal (Refereed)
