Review of a monograph comprising a reworked doctoral dissertation. Review of a monograph containing 337 texts, mainly from the Sargonic period, and written in Sumerian and Akkadian. The reviewed volume represents a cooperation between the Real Academia in Madrid and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Iraq, and offers treatments and depictions of cuneiform tablets originally belonging in various archival contexts in the urban centre of Adab or nearby localities, along with a discussion of the history of Assyriological research into this area.
