Uppsala University Annual Bibliometric Monitoring produces statistics on publication volume, publishing level, citation impact, collaboration (in terms of co-publishing) and open access. The aggregation level is primarily department, which means that it is primarily the departments of Uppsala University that are the units of analysis in the monitoring. Two main data sources are used: the local publication database of Uppsala University, DiVA, and the in-house version of the Web of Science database available at the Centre for Science and Technology Studies at Leiden University, the Netherlands. The considered publication period is 2011-2019. The results are presented in graphs or in tables, and in the next to last section, the results are briefly summarized. Regarding the domain Humanities and Social Sciences, the indicator proportion of publication fractions at level 2 (in the Norwegian model), the departments Economics and Peace and Conflict Studies have the highest values for the last three considered publication years. The highest values on the citation indicators, with respect to the domain Medicine and Pharmacy and the whole publication period, are observed for the three departments Medical Biochemistry and Microbiology, Immunology, Genetics and Pathology and Pharmacy. For the domain Science and Technology, the three biology departments, Cell and Molecular Biology, Ecology and Genetics and Organismal Biology, all have high values on the citation indicators with respect to the whole publication period.
Antologin Ledarskap satt i system. Ledarskap i praktiken (BTJ Förlag, 2017).
The library of Leufstabruk is an eighteenth century private library in Sweden that was built up by industrialist and entomologist Charles De Geer (1720-1778). Approximately 1500 contemporary titles from the library were purchased by mail-order from the booksellers Samuel (II) and ,Johannes Luchtmans in Leiden. Leufstabruk was, however, not only a place where Enlightenment literature was brought in, but also a centre of knowledge production. In this article, I will explore Leufstabruk as a portal for cultural transfer between Sweden and the Dutch Republic, and consider how this collection may serve as a frame to rethink the emergence of Sweden as a centre of knowledge creation in the eighteenth century
The paper describes a copyright literacy/art map project which had the initial purpose to educate library users and accidental recidivists in copyright literacy. While library users were the first target group (due to the public library event for which I created the map proto-types), the target group could most certainly be extended to the general public.
The project takes the form of art maps published online with clear markings on whether the art object (statue, sculpture etc.) is selfie safe; i.e. whether it is possible to take a photograph which depicts the public art piece and then publish it in a database online (e.g. through social media).
Recently the technological and organizational infrastructures of institutional repositories have been questioned. For example the British so-called Finch report from last summer argued that further development, as well as higher standards of accessibility of repositories, are needed in order to make them better integrated and interoperable to ultimately bring greater use by both authors and readers. Not only the technical frameworks and presumably low usage levels are criticized but also the lack of “clear policies on such matters as the content they will accept, the uses to which it may be put, and the role that they will play in preservation”. The report concludes that: “In practice patterns of deposit are patchy”.
As in the UK, today, all universities and university colleges in Sweden, except a couple of very small and specialized ones, do have an institutional repository. A majority (around 80%) are working together on a co-operative basis within the DiVA Publishing System with the Electronic Publishing Centre at Uppsala University Library acting as the technical and organizational hub. Because the system is jointly funded, and the members contribute according to their size, it has been possible even for smaller institutions with limited resources to run a repository with exactly the same functionalities as the biggest universities.
In this article we want to demonstrate the ever-increasing importance of institutional repositories in Sweden. Starting more than a decade ago the DiVA Consortium has, for some time, been addressing the problems now raised by the Finch report in a number of areas.

The purpose of the study is to investigate what experiences residents in the Järva area experience in their contacts with authorities. The purpose of the study is also to investigate and shed light on possible cultural and social background factors that could explain the residents' experiences.
The method used was qualitative interviews and the empirical material was obtained using semi-structured interviews. Six respondents participated in the study, all residents of the Järva area in Stockholm. The results were analyzed using previous research and the postcolonial theories, territorial fixation and stigmatization (Wacquant 2007), the second celebration and stereotyping process (Hall 1997) and Orientalism (Said 1977). The results show that there are differences within the experiences, however, there are more who experience the negative experiences than the positive ones and that there were very few experiences connected to the participants' background factors.
A Book Exchange Across Borders
Andreas Kallström as an Agent for the Bergius Brothers in the 1760s
The article tells about a book exchange in 1765 between Peter Jonas and Bengt Bergius and an anonymous English gentleman through the help of Andreas Kallström, a Swedish student of botany and horticulture, during his stay in London 1764-1765 as a part of his studies. The correspondence between the Bergius brothers and Kallström shows that the exchange was unprofessionally handled and troublesome for Kallström. However, he manages to get the books that the brothers Bergius wished for before leaving London for Paris. The correspondence gives us also clues on the importance of the bookbindings, as well as other material aspects of the book, as part of the commerce with books during the later eighteenth century. Different aspects on the exchange of books across the Swedish borders give us a fuller picture of the commerce at the time.

But I Will Tell Mamsell a Secret...
Adam Afzelius' Love Letters to Anna Sophia Dassau
In the archives of the Afzelius' family, donated to Uppsala University Library in 1998, there are some letters and concepts from the time of Adam Afzelius' courtship and engagement to Anna Sophia Dassau. Through Afzelius' love letters we can see their relationship develop during the time from the proposal to the wedding, a period of about three months. In the letters, Adam Afzelius also explains his Christian opinions on courtship, engagement and a happy marriage, based on his Swedenborgian belief and worldview. The correspondence as well as other letters from Anna Sophia Dassau's father Johan Dassau and other relatives, also show how others looked upon the engagement. Afzelius' correspondence with Anna Sophia Dassau reflects the ideals of love letters at the time, and fits into the form of love letters as a genre, something Afzelius himself was aware of. In two appendices there are the referred letters in transcription, as well as a wedding poem, only preserved in manuscript in the Afzelius' family archives.
During works of the reconstruction of the book collection from the Jesuit College in Poznań the researchers came across three volumes with characteristic Flemish Panel-Stamped decorated bindings, in which designs were stamped into the leather cover by a block, into which the image had been carved or incised. The bindings were made in Leuven, in bookbinding workshops that placed their monograms of the following letter combinations: "IP" (Jacob Pandelaert?) and "IB" (Jacob Bathen). Two of the volumes are now kept in the University Library in Uppsala, while one of them is held in Poznań University Library. These are bookbinding blocks that in total include 11 works. The present article presents the history of the three volumes. Following an analysis of the numerous marginal notes included in the volumes it was possible to establish that the first owner of the volumes had been the writer, humanist and reformer Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski (ca 1502-1572). Modrzewski had most probably purchased the volumes in Leuven in September 1549. Subsequently, the books were taken over by Stanisław Karnkowski (1520-1603), who donated them to Poznań-based Jesuits. This article contributes to the knowledge on the private book collection of Modrzewski. A particular attention should be given to the editions of the works by Piotr Ramus (Pierre de la Ramée) and Joachim Perion, specifically collected for a purpose by Modrzewski.
