Abstract [sv]
Nätverket för en rättvis, hållbar Arktisk framtid undersöker de olika metoderna för att skaparättvisa och hur dessa kan påverka hur vi betraktar hållbar utveckling i Arktis. Medutgångspunkt i befintlig diskurs om normativa och tillämpade teorier om rättvisa försökerforskningsnätverket att utveckla en ram för rättvisans roll i hållbarhetsagendor samt att hittasätt att hjälpa övergången från nuvarande former av ekonomisk utveckling och konsumtion tillframtidsutsikter som är etiska och hållbara utifrån globala klimatagendor. Ett centralt fokusligger i att övervinna skiljelinjerna i olika synsätt och värderingen av olika intressentersperspektiv, utifrån insikter från rättviseteori för att förstå och tolka dessa positioner i olikatidsmässiga och rumsliga sammanhang. Omfånget inkluderar tillvägagångssätt från olikavetenskapliga discipliner som representeras av forskarna i nätverket och bygger påkonceptuella verktyg, såsom landskap, mänskliga rättigheter och suveränitet, för att utformaontologin för de rumsliga och temporära relationerna som är inneboende i övergångar tillhållbarhet.
Abstract [en]
The Justice, Sustainability & Arctic Futures Network investigates the diverse approaches tojustice and how these can influence how we think about sustainable development of the Arctic.Building on existing discourse of normative and applied theories of justice, the researchnetwork seeks to develop a framework that conceptualises the role of justice in sustainabilityagendas as well as find ways to assist the transition from current modes of economicdevelopment and consumption towards futures that are ethical and sustainable in the contextof global climate agendas. A central focus is in overcoming the divisions in differentrepresentations and valuing of stakeholder perspectives, drawing on insights from justicetheory in understanding and interpreting these positions in varying temporal and spatialcontexts. The scope includes approaches from different disciplinary perspectives presentwithin the network’s scholars and draws on conceptual tools, such as landscape, human rightsand sovereignty, in framing the ontology of the spatial and temporal relationships inherent intransitions to sustainability.
