Abstract [en]

Using the Geant4 Monte Carlo framework, the flux of radiation emitted from the used nuclear fuel assembly BT01 has been estimated. The emission energy spectra for photons and neutrons calculated using SCALE for this PWR 17x17 fuel assembly were used as source for the radiation transport. The fuel assembly was modelled with the fuel rods emersed in a universe comprised of water. The photon and neutron flux and energy deposition from the source in a plane at the centre of the fuel assembly were calculated.

This dataset contains the raw data files produced by the calculations.

File information
File name DATASET01.tar.gzFile size 3270712 kBChecksum SHA-512Description The gzip-compressed tar archive contain the calculated data. Each combination of files is the archive named 'run_SingleFuel.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX' represent one simulation run "<run>". The files '<run>.out' and '<run>.err' contain the output from the standard output and standard error streams, respectively. All <run> files are sorted in folders named after the first character in the XXX... sequence in their file name. The file 'sha256sums.txt' contain SHA-256 check sums of all <run> files. The <run>.out file contain, between "#BOF" and "#EOF" markers, a header describing meta information about the run followed by comma separated (CSV) data values. The CSV data is on the form "x,y,value", where value is either the energy deposition (in MeV per cm3 per emitted photon, scorer named 'eDep') or gamma radiation flux (in per cm2 and second, per emitted photon, scorer named 'cellFlux'). The coordinates (x,y) specifies the location of the centre of the 1 cm3 mesh cube where the value was calculated. Some <run>.out files contain also the neutron flux energy spectrum simulated at various locations along a radial position out from the fuel assembly. The spectrum information is written on lines beginning with the text "Neutron detector at x =".
