O fonološkim i morfološkim osobitostima Mulihove Hrane nebeske (1779)
2021 (Croatian)In: Slovo: Journal of Slavic Languages, Literatures and Cultures, E-ISSN 2001-7359, Vol. 62, p. 61-71Article in journal (Refereed) Published
Abstract [en]

This article analyses the phonological and morphological features of Juraj Mulih's work Hrana nebeska (1779) in order to demonstrate that its language is predominantly based on the literary Croatian Kajkavian dialect. Moreover, the author sheds light on the impact of Stokavian and Chakavian authors on Mulih's language. The study shows that there were non-Kajkavian elements at a phonological level, such as the reflex of schwa (dan, danas, današni, došastje, lahko, lagle), reflex of *dj as đ (rodyakov, narodyene, izhadya, odhadyam, jedinorodyeni, ſedyam, tugye) and the actualization of the second regressive palatalisation of velars (reczi, pomozi, lezi). As for morphology, the following features are encountered: voc. sg. m. -e (Gozpone Boſe, Gozpodine Boſe, jedini Boſe) and the use of the future tense (hochu chuvati, hoche pomiluvati, hocheſs dati, nehche zgubiti, nechu nigdar oztaviti).
