The historically dominant clinical positioning of myalgic encephalomyelitis / chronic fatigue syndrome (ME / CFS), as an entity allegedly recoverable through cognitive-behavioural technologies of power, supports the Foucauldian assumption that power and truth are mutually constitutive. This article explores how biopower and a psy-corporate-state complex are implicated in producing persuasive yet precarious truth-claims vis-a-vis ME / CFS, embedded within a (bio)psychosocial regime of truth that has infiltrated the wider disability space.
