Abstract [en]

In this paper I have explored two different games and analyzed both their respective approaches towards representing depression using game mechanics, specifically Depression Quest and Elude. These games have been looked at using the method player as analyst and then analyzed with the help Kelli Dunlap’s model and other previous research within the field of game design research. The paper concludes that both these games manage to represent depression, but both games also have shortcomings in their respective ways.
